Aged 12-16 months in oak barrique. Intense dark red in colour, this wine is characterized by a complex aromatic profile, where the berries and ripe cherry fruit blend with fragrant spiced notes.  Cabernet adds full-body and richness to the overall blend, its velvety tannins support a wonderfully persistent, polished finish as the Merlot adds creamy oak notes.

Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon 65%, Merlot 35%

*A barrique cask holds 59 gallons.  The size of the barrel influences how much oak it will impart due to the ratio of barrel surface area to wine volume.  Larger barrels will provided less oak influence.
