Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Bright yellow with green hues. On the nose, tropical fruits and green apple. Fresh wine with a little sweet sensation and great acidity. Flavors such as mango, ripe melon and a touch of vanilla.
Vineyard Notes
The vineyard is located in Maipú (certified organic) at altitude of 2,624 ft above sea level. The soil is limestone. At this elevation, there is a fluctuation between daytime and nighttime temperatures resulting in grapes with a higher concentration of color, aromas, and flavors.
Production Notes
Manual harvest. Fermented in small concrete vats with indigenous yeasts. Unfined, unfiltered, unoaked, organic certified.
Winemaker Notes
Marcelo Bocardo, Third Generation Winemaker and descendant of an Italian immigrant family was born and raised in Mendoza. Since his early childhood he followed his grandfather and father while they worked at the family’s winery and, at 12 years of age, his grandfather put him in charge of two of their vineyard’s rows. It is there and then that he learned about grape growing and to identify by sight and taste each of the varietals. It was a transformative experience.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs well with fresh seafood, smoky cheeses and creamy pastas.
